How to Convert an Image To Text Free
There are not many software that convert images to text, but the ones I found and listed below should work pretty good without problems. I also found some online tools that do that same job, the nice thing about the the online tools is that you don’t need to install any softwares. These tools would make it much easier on you, if you have a scanned document and you want to edit it, then at least one of these tools would do it for you with incredible accuracy.
Online Image to Text Converters:
Free Online OCR: OCR refers to (Optical Character Recognition). You can use their tool for any image you have as long as it JPG, GIF, TIFF BMP. It support many different languages including French, Italian German, Greek and many others.
Moreover, if you have a PDF file you want to convert, then OCR system would do the job for you. After testing their service, I found few disadvantages. First, the image has to be 2MB or less, so you have to compress the image if the size more than that. Second, if you have multiple page PDF file, the tool will only convert the first page. If you want to convert the second page you have to split the PDF and upload the second page to convert, which is a hassle. However, if you have a page or two to convert then it will work just perfect for you.
